With the markets hitting new all-time highs in the SP-500, Russell 2000, and DJIA and the Nasdaq hitting new 13-year highs, it is obvious that everything is all good with the market. We remain under a BUY signal and there is absolutely zero pressure currently on our models. On top of this, we see breakouts and stocks setting up in bases in multiple sectors. As long as this is the case, there is nothing to do but ride the trend higher.
As always, despite being extremely long this market, we are ready for when the market does have a real pullback. We put on small hedges earlier in the week but everything came off by Thursday and Friday. Even with the lower volume (hasn’t mattered during the past five years) everything simply looks very bullish. One day this will change but until it does there is absolutely no reason to psychoanalyze and pontificate on the reasons why this market should pullback or even crash. Keep it simple and follow the very clear trend until it ends.
