No New Short Positions For Monday’s Stock Market Session

Right now we have five short positions and three of them are very close to being let go. That will then, obviously, leave us with only 2 shorts. This is about as clear as a tell as you can get that the short side is not the right side. I now only have ONE BIG WINNER that I am STILL holding since 2008 (CYT) and a couple of others still have strong gains but overall it is clear that right now the right side is only the long side. Therefore, I do not want to waste your time on a discussion about possible shorts when we probably are not going to have any for a while. MON worked out immediately on THUR but then on FRI. MON reversed higher and since it is closing above the open of the last two bars that means we need to get rid of 50% of it and see if it will move lower to continue the breakdown. However, with the market ticking higher and higher and more and more stocks showing up that look good in our long scans, I think it is time for me to hang up my daily postings on this short section. So from now on you will only have a list of possible future shorts here and maybe the occasional short that we can get while this market trends higher. But until the bullish uptrend stops, you don’t have to worry about checking out this page for additional commentary. You can find all of my personal thoughts on longs on the “silver longs page.” I will resume posting thoughts on shorts and a downtrending market once the market starts to distribute and actually rolls over with leading stocks topping. From 2003-2007 I spent VERY LITTLE TIME posting comments on my ‘silvers shorts page.’ Now that the trend is higher and the 50 is about to meet up with the 200, I will be going back to that. So don’t worry about having to check this ‘shorts section’ anymore as I will not be adding any thoughts to the bear side until all of these green, green, and green charts turn red. Some possible future shorts that do look like they could be in our line of site in the future include UIL, QSII, LH, EXL, OSIP, DTV, FLIR, HANS, and CTAS. Great luck out there, and if you do go short KEEP YOUR SHORTS EXTREMELY SMALL as fighting the trend is a model for disaster. Have a great weekend!
