There is only one stock that is setup in a safe enough and long enough base with a nice calmer chart pattern compared to many other stocks right now. The problem with today’s move is that the price action is so good but volume is not that big–even though it is bigger by a nice amount compared to the last five days–and BOP goes from max green to green. That is always a no-no and an indication that due to the market not being in an uptrend this stock will have a greater chance of failing. The max green BOP going to green BOP is like our warning that this stock could be good but not to be shocked if it does fail. It is a shame that such a nice move loses the green BOP but a low volume bounce that comes on volume that is not as big as 8/5′s is definitely a problem. The max green BOP falling to green is my cue to not “load up” on this stock. The BOP falling also will make sure that I will not buy a “ton” of this stock. Since I am already long, and this market is flat overall on an intermediate term time frame, there is no reason to risk too much money on a non-perfect chart (a perfect chart is full of max green BOP and HUGE volume up days). Newbies who have no track record of major profits should probably avoid it and limit orders are recommended with this stock. If you can’t tell why, look at all the tails on the chart since the end of April. Be careful out there and remember in a market that is basically has gone nowhere for seven months to keep that cash level very highs. Right now, CASH IS KING!!
speculative long I am adding to my existing position: MASI
MASI is bouncing off the uptrending 50 day moving average, on strong volume. Cut your final loss with a close below the 50 day moving average, if the stock does not move higher immediately.
